Positive Grid® Bias FX real amp names

Discover the real names and brands of the amps officially included in Bias FX !

Posted by Ampl4 on March 15, 2016

In this article you’ll find all the amps that are officially included amps in Bias FX.

Ampl4 allows you to consolidate and display all the Amps of your different Bias Apps & plugins into one or many collections.

There are officially 32 amps included in Bias FX desktop.
But even more gems are hidden waiting to be surfaced ! (that will be for a next Blog post, stay tuned…)

This post on Positive Grid® website lists the 32 amps with the models they are based on.

Using Ampl4 auto-lookup, fetch the real brands, names, descriptions and notes from the Ampl4 database in seconds !

While investigating on the amps, you might notice that some of the given models are not logical/consistent. For example the Silvertone 77 is more likely based on a Silvertone made by Danelectro (and sold at Sears) during the 70’s than a Roland JC120 as stated. When building the Ampl4 database used for autolookups, I’ve tried to correct mistakes and noted some of my pending questions in the “notes” fields. Add your owns! and if you come up with diverging conclusions, don’t hesitate to mail me.
